Download the updated Courier Final Draft font

Macintosh

Open Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts and Control+click on Courier Final Draft, then choose Get Info. If it is something other than Version 3.5x, you'll need to update the font. Drag this font to the Trash and empty the Trash.

NOTE: You must delete the font this way before you copy the new one to the folder. Overwriting the font instead of deleting it will cause problems.

If you have OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion):

1. Download the DMG;
2. Double-click it;
3. Choose Install Font.

If you have OS X 10.6.8 or older:

1. Download the DMG;
2. Double-click it and it will yield mcfd.zip;
3. Double-click mcfd.zip and it will yield the Courier Final Draft font icon;
4. Open Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts and drag the font icon into this folder.

Windows

Go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts and double-click Courier Final Draft Regular. If it doesn't say version 3.7, delete this and the CFD Bold and Italic fonts. Go to View > Refresh and if these fonts are still there, delete them again. Repeat until the three fonts are truly deleted.

1. Download it to your Desktop (it will be labeled wcfd37);
2. Right-click it and choose Explore;
3. You'll see three files; drag them to your Desktop;
4. Go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts and drag these three files from the Desktop into the Fonts folder.
