Where can I find my Final Draft Customer Number?

Your Customer Number is required for ALL customer support correspondence and is your proof of ownership of the Final Draft license. Make sure to write it down on paper and keep it in several different safe places.

V.8 box: On the pink sheet in the disk case.
V.8 download: In the emailed receipt.

The number looks like this: 8FD-123-456-789-123.

OR open Final Draft and go to Help > Customer Support.

V.7 box: On the CD-ROM jacket or on the back of the "Getting Started" booklet.
V.7 download: In the emailed receipt (most likely from The Writers Store).

The number looks like this: 7FD-123-456-789-123.

OR open Final Draft and go to Help > Customer Support.

V.6: On the registration card in the box. The number looks like this: FD6-123-456-789-123.

OR open Final Draft and go to Help > Technical Support.

V.5: On the registration card in the box. The number looks like this: FD5-123-456-789-123 or FDU-012-345-678-109.

OR open the program and go to Help > Technical Support (Windows) or Apple menu > About Final Draft > Support (Mac).

NOTE: Final Draft v.6 and older are no longer supported so FD6 / FD5 / FDU / FDM/FDW numbers will not be recognized by our telephone or web-based technical support services.

V.4: You may or may not have a Customer Number. Only if you received the program on CD would you have a number; if you have a CD your Customer Number looks like this: FDM-123-456-7890 (Mac) or FDW-123-456-7890 (Windows). It would be on the registration card in the box and on a sticker on one of the covers of the manual.
